STUDENT ENTRY GUIDELINES

ELIGIBILITY
The Entrant must be a student.

ENTRY POLICIES
All entries, including images, become the property of the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter. The Entrant certifies that he/she grants permission to publish all images included. The Entrant is solely responsible for any errors or omissions in the information supplied. Failure to comply with the rules in The Entry Guidelines may result in rejection of the submission. Registration fees will not be refunded.To maintain anonymity, no names of entrants or other identifying information should appear on any part of the pictorial submission or in the project description.

SUBMITTAL FORMAT
Submit at least three (3) and no more than five (5) JPEG image renderings of the project design (dpi of 300 with a maximum file size of 2.5 MB each) with the Entry Form. In addition to renderings, a floor plan is required as well as any key elevations, plans, or FF&E selections that give a sense of the overall project area for a total of no more than ten (10) JPEG images overall. Do not include images that reveal the name/identity of the designer. The file names for the images must include the Project Name and must be numbered sequentially. Each project will be represented at the Awards event by a single image. Award recipients will have two (2) rendered images shown. In addition, regarding the publication of the Honor Roll, all award recipients will be listed including a single image of their project. Please indicate which of the renderings submitted are to be your top two (2) preferences.

Please no tiff files. All images submitted become the property of the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can you extend the deadline for me?
A: To be fair to all entrants, the deadline is firm and cannot be extended.

Q: What if my project descriptions exceed the word count?
A: Any word beyond the designated word counts (for both project description sections) will be cut off in the entry field. Please verify descriptions are complete and modify as needed. Type and proof your project description in a Word DOC – then cut and paste them into the entry field.

Q: Who decides the winners?
A: A jury of respected designers from the IIDA Community select the winners.

Q: Why is there a size limit on the photos?
A: The size limit ensures that your submission file will be easy to manage and open.

Q: How should we name the image files?
A: Images should be named in the following format: DA 2022_Entry School_Project Name_Image # For instance, if a student who attends Mid-Atlantic University is entering their Project “Metamorphasis Salon”, the entry images would be named like so: DA 2022_Mid-Atlantic University_Metamorphasis Salon_1 DA 2022_Mid-Atlantic University_Metamorphasis Salon_2 DA 2022_Mid-Atlantic University_Metamorphasis Salon_3

Q: What if I don’t know my IIDA number?
A: You can find your member ID number online through the member login portal on www.iida.org or by contacting IIDA headquarters at 1(888) 799-4432.

Q: Can I enter multiple projects?
A: To encourage a fair competition across the student members of the IIDA Mid-Atlantic chapter, students are limited to entering 1 project only. 

Q: Can you tell me if my entry won?
A: Winners are announced at The Premiere Event and after the event, the information regarding winning projects will be posted on the IIDA MAC website and social media outlets.
